Furniture Girls

Furniture Girls is an electro-rock band with an innate ability to connect with fans and fellow musicians alike. With a seasoned lineup that includes lyricist/lead vocalist stayC Meyer, bassist/producer Jim Watkins, drummer Thane Mitchell, guitarist Jason Lightfoot and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Kate Bradley, the band has been playing clubs across the U.S. with audiences hungry for something dynamic and different for over a decade.
In that time, Furniture Girls have been a mainstay on Seattle's music scene, serving as the hand-picked local support band for national touring artists like Linda Perry, Hunter Valentine, Vintage Trouble, Presidents of the United States of America, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Sky Cries Mary, Super Sonic Soul Pimps, Gene Loves Jezebel and My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult. They've also made annual appearances at South by Southwest, performed with Capital Cities at the legendary Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, and showcased at Heart of Texas Rockfest, Seattle Weekly's REVERB Festival, Noise for the Needy, Bite of Seattle, and the Rock n Roll Seattle Marathon. The band's television appearances include live performances on KING 5 TV (Seattle), KVEW's Good Morning Northwest, Art Zone with Nancy Guppy and the debut season of Victory Studios' music show, Band in Seattle. stayC Moore
Seasoned veteran stayC has been a force in the Seattle music scene since the mid 1990’s. Nearly a dozen bands and over 20+ years of industrial, electronic, cover band and rock shows later, Moore then became one with – and one of – Furniture Girls. Her most recent projects include the hard-rocking Death By Overkill and hard-partying cover band The Highsteppers.
Jim Watkins
Jim taught himself how to play saxophone, then drums, then keys, then guitar and then bass… all before his 14th birthday. But from his big-band jazz-influenced formative years to his stints with R&B units The Groove Syndicate and Last Drop, to his session work with Seattle artists of all types, Jim’s always had a talent for finding great musicians making great music.
Thane Mitchell
Since the age of 15, when he began playing drums and percussion, Thane has been all over the local and national music scene. He’s shared the stage and the studio with members of Digable Planets, The Brand New Heavies, Pearl Jam, Heart, Grant Lee Buffalo, Supersuckers and even the Seattle Symphony. Always hard at work with a bunch of different bands, Thane’s musical creativity has reached new heights with Furniture Girls — and he’s just getting started.
Jason Lightfoot
Jason plays guitar. Well. Since joining the band in 2010, Jason has helped lay the final bricks in Furniture Girls’ wall of sound. Having accompanied stayC in a handful of pre-FG music projects, and Thane in the Will Moore Band, Jason’s been playing with members of Furniture Girls in one way or another for over a decade.
Furniture Girls Alumni:
Kate Bradley Vocals / Keys/ Trumpet / Guitar 2013–2022
Kate joined the group in 2013 and left as the one of the band's longest tenured members. Over nine years, she not only added powerful vocals, but she picked up every instrument she could find as well: guitar, keys, percussion, and even a trumpet became residents of "KateLand."
Bubba Jones Producer / Guitar 2007–2013
Bubba was instrumental in producing and arranging original songs written by Nikki and stayC. He also helped turn the duo into a full band by recruiting Thane and Jim (on drums and bass, respectively) and settling in as the band's first guitarist. He now creates award winning scores for film and television.
Nikki Wolgamott Vocals / Keys 2007–2010
Nicole “Nikki” Wolgamott co-founded FG as a two-piece synth group with high school friend Stacey Moore. The project had no name until Nikki's brother Roderick Romero (of Sky Cries Mary) suggested "Furniture Girls."
