Milk'n Blues started when friends Aline Mota and Anne Glober decided to invite Anne’s next door neighbor, and her guitar teacher at the time, Ricardo Maranhão to participate in a video in which the girls would sing. The idea worked out well and would be repeated a few more times. Later, harp player Indiara Sfair joined the team. The band would became whole with Eduardo Machado on the bass and Piatan Sfair on the drums.
Milk’n Blues has always liked to present versions of classics, adding to them some Rock and Blues elements. Pop music also has its fair share in a set list that includes artists such as Michael Jackson, Cee Lo Green and even Britney Spears; always played in special versions arranged by the band.
Bass, guitar, harp and vocal arrangements (which have already become a signature of the band) converge in an original musical style that brings together songs once separated by decades and generations.
Since 2012, the band has been playing at several different venues in Parana and 4 others states in Brazil. Besides night clubs and live music bars, Milk’n Blues also participates in Music Festivals, having shared the stage with other renowned artists such as Robben Ford, Kenny Brown and Brazilian bands Titãs and Blitz.
TV appearances include public networks such as Record PR, TV Gazeta, RPC - Globo PR; and cable TV networks such as Record News and Multishow. Milk’n Blues has also had its music and interviews aired in several different radio stations in Brazil (Rádio Mundo Livre, Radio Gazeta SP, Radio Cidade RJ, Jovem Pan) and abroad (Berbeley Liberation Radio – USA, The Cat – UK, Canadian Musician – Canada).
The band’s first album was released in 2015 and brings 10 original tracks composed by the group. The album is available on most major streaming and digital stores such as iTunes and Spotify. Blues, Soul, Rock, Pop and R&B are strong influences on the work, which has the song ‘Is There Anybody there’ as its first single.
