Jola is geboren in Opole, Polen en woont tegenwoordig in Londen, Engeland. Blues-rock zingen is haar grote passie.Jola wordt bijgestaan door gitarist Oliver McKiernan en drummer Will Taylor.
I'm a only a recent starter on the music scene. I grew up listening to blues and jazz my dad played at home in Poland, then behind the iron curtain. As a teenager we were all gathering at little private parties listening to records someone managed to bring from abroad. I fondly remember the Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin and Uriah Heep nights... Hence, some of my blues rock songs sway into the rock side. It is only recently I could really foray into my passion of singing and song writing. And I'm loving it!!! I'm definitely making up for my lost 'musical time'. I released my first album, Wrongtime in April 24 and my second one, Gone To Find My Blues in December 24. My third album, Surrender To The Blues was released in June 25. My new album Shine On Me is released 2nd January 26. All my singles and albums are on all streaming platforms and on https://jolarecchioni.bandcamp in cd forms as well. I'm also on https://soundcloud.com/jolanta-recchioni . My style of singing is often raw, sometimes tough but also very expressive and heartfelt. I sing it how I feel it. I mostly write both lyrics and music myself but I also like to collaborate, as I did with the lyricist Mitch Beattie or Gregory Perrin and Kenny Sawyer, the composers. Now that my blues rocking passion is unleashed, I'm bursting with new song ideas! Expect more to come!
