Service Animal is a Five-piece indie rock band from Seattle. Service Animal formed between a pair of longtime bandmates and friends from the now defunct Indie Rock band, Shining Skulls. Their successes both in the studio and on the road, lead to their desire to form a new, but more dynamic band. Soon after their formation, Service Animal recruited multi-instrumental Justin Joyce and quickly self-produced a fan-favorite demo album, “The Gravity Bear Demonstration”. After recruiting drummer Gregg Anderson (formerly of Dryspell), the band spent the next year defining their sound and laying the foundation for their debut, full-length album, “The Cone of Shame”. “Cone of Shame” was produced by Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear and Mastodon) and mastered Ed Brooks at Resonant Mastering July 2016. Described as eclectic indie rock, the band’s music is heavily influenced by northwest artists such as Built to Spill, Modest Mouse as well as the Pixies and Radiohead. The band is currently gearing up for regional touring and further upcoming recording sessions. Bandleden: Andrew Bailey (guitar, vocals), Justin Joyce (guitar), Emma Staake (keys, vocals), Christine Kelly (bass), and Gregg Anderson (drums). |
